This wick trimmer can be used on our cotton and wood wicks! Don't continue to struggle with a pair of scissors!
HOW TO USE: Wick's should ALWAYS be cut before re-lighting your candle, cut down to 1/8" - 1/4" to create an even burning flame and avoid any smoke that can make your jar charred. For cotton wick's: Place your trimmers underneath the "mushroom cap" looking burnt piece at the end of your wick, and cut it off and put in your compost/green bin. For wood wick's: Cut along the wood, only cutting off the soft burnt wood, you do not want to go down too far and cut off the hard fresh wood wick (although it would be burnt, it is still ready to use). Cutting any wick's down too short will result in the wick drowning in the melted wax and it will not be able to stay lit. Wick trimmers are an essential for proper candle care to ensure a long and healthy life for your candle to be used until it's gone.
